I frequently approach a marketing design from an artist’s perspective to encourage a more creative customers.  This can be challenging because an artist typically invites the viewer to interpret an image’s meaning. At the same time, a designer prefers to explain to the client how they should understand an image. Since these methods are at opposite ends of the spectrum, I strive to lead the audience towards an objective, while still letting them participate. This, in my opinion, engages a new type of potential client.
